Baby Blues

BABY BLUES

Look at me my
dark scarlet heart disguised in pink
I am Look! At! Me!
Oh I'm the pure blue force of Want
howling through thin walls
like a prairie wind.
I am so large and empty
Why do the cheerios stick to the backs of my hands?
When I push the bear through the bars,
Why is it gone? I want that bear.
I want
Oh listen, the jingleshudder of ears getting up
the dog! Oh comecomecomecomecomecomecomecome
gone.
I want that dog.
Oh keep your pastel colours.
Boredom is a purple need. Hunger is vermillion.
I want my dark blue heaven milk mothermother
but the minute I fall into darkness she puts me down.
They do, they put you down. The big ones
only want one thing: to leave you alone.
You have to stay awake, see.
The big ones are my shepherd and I shall want
with the pure blue force
of a howling wind I want
the dog the bear the milk I want
every cheerio that fell on the floor I want
the brightest colours
all pressed hard against my gums
I want
the world
and it will not fit
in my mouth.

He disapproves of his bunny ears, they're so tight they're making wrinkles.
Photo taken by Mary Williams. For more pugs in bunny ears, visit her website. Bunny Gino looks wonderfully posh and disapproving.

This easter bunny just sat on her stash of chocolate eggs and is not looking forward to the trip home to get more. No sir.

Found on Sadie Olive Photography. Her work is amazing, beautiful stuff with wonderful light – super sweet.

Oh, How I hate to get up in the morning

Written and sung by Irving Berlin for the 1943 movie "This is the Army".
Sung by me most sleepy mornings.

haurumph

Dear: Person who is in charge of the wind here in Russia

I would like to file a formal complaint about the weather patterns you’ve been sending my way lately. I sincerely doubt you’ve ever been in a position where you’ve had to hunt for prey in a windstorm, so just let me be the first to inform you that it is NOT a particularly simple task. And seeing that I’m presently very hungry, a temporary cessation of wind-making on your side of things would just be wonderful, if you don’t mind me saying so.

Also, this wind is messing up my hairdo, and frankly I’m really unimpressed by that as well. You DO NOT want to know how much I spend on pomade every month… and now it’s all going to waste because of you and your “seasonal breezes.” NOT COOL, bro! So if you could kindly indulge me my small and very reasonable request for better hunting/hairdoing weather, I would very much appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Aloysius Xavier Coriander Joseph Foxtrotter III

Grumble

Moe had been luxuriating in the glorious feel of the shower that made him feel like a new cat - until the moment he reached for a towel and realized with a sinking heart that he had put them all in the laundry that morning.

He's begrudgingly putting up with his photograph, but he'd much rather if you put the camera down and cuddled him.

wong!

Winston from Four Four getting bigger and grumpier. I am especially delighted with the rotund ball of disdainful fur he was as a kitten.

gr-rawr?

Accessorize your grumpiness! Domo-kun accessories growl at the world all day long.

USB drives:
A Domo-kun hat (just look down whenever you're tempted to growl at someone):
A Domo-kun i-pod cover (and instructions on how to make it!):
A t-shirt:
A hoodie:
And best of all a Domo-kun dress:
(yes, it's photoshopped, by Jessamyn, but think how wonderful it would be to wear that! You could chase kittens all day long.)

huh.

I recognize this face as one I have worn so many times. My favorite (with photographic evidence in a drawer somewhere) was the first time I got my school picture taken. The man was cooing and waving toys at me, and when I came home I told my mummy, "I wouldn't smile at him because I didn't know him."
